When is your next Walt Disney World vacation?

We were talking at dinner the other night about some of the things mentioned during last weeks Fan Boys pod cast. Out of nowhere my wife tells me that we can't go back to WDW until the child is at least 3yrs old.

She doesn't feel that the child would appreciate it before that. My response: I would still appreciate it! :)

But we've made a deal with my mother that I would pay for her to come to WDW if she would be willing to do some baby sitting. She agreed. :)

So, looks like my next trip won't be until 2014

Congrats on the new edition! On the plus side, when you finally get to WDW, all the Fantasyland chnages should be complete along with others I'm sure are in the works. Plus, you get to enjoy some Disney time just you & Mrs. Tron.

My favorite part was when they were talking at dinner and mentioned the Fan Boys podcast. :D

First off congrats.

Second off, your wife's priorities are messed up. The good thing is, you won't be having your first child in October (baseball playoffs), the bad news is, there's a 1/7 chance it happens on a Sunday during football season (I can't really do math, but let's assume that's correct).

I've gone back and forth regarding bringing an infant to Disney World. We did it with my nephew, and it was tough - but I think that was largely because my mother wanted to play the role of overbearing grandmother. I think if you're familiar enough with the parks, and don't have the expectation that the two of you will be able to accomplish as much as you were able to prior to having a child then you can go and still enjoy yourself. If your focus is on enjoying thrill rides together, you'll have to either rent a locker (for the baby) or wait until have you have a grandparent or someone join you.

As long as you know what you are in for and realize you will not ride much of anything unless you are willing to wait an hour or two (maybe three hours for the E-rides), it's a great time to be at WDW. Personally, I have no problem with crowds. I have been at WDW for the period of Christmas through New Year's several times and I just LOVE it.

Apicozzi - I know how you feel. We are going on the 3 day cruise for Off to Neverland's summit and supposed to be at the parks Sept.25-Oct.2 but found out last night that the girl who stays with our two "fur"kids is thinking of doing a cruise that week  How could she??? So we are frantically looking for another dog sitter.

Not that anyone cares...but good news! lol...we found another person to stay with the fur kids! Had to switch the dates a little. Now we are going down Sept.18 for 5 days before the cruise. I can't wait!! :P So glad we had the air through Southwest, all I had to do was log in and change the flights!
